At the age of 49…divorced, washed up, bankrupt; a complete and utter failure…32 years after hearing the Gospel of Salvation thru faith in Jesus Christ…I was gloriously saved/born again on a lonely highway in Oregon late at night.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is anew creature: old things arepassed away; behold, all things are become new.”2 Corinthians 5:17
Since that night, now nearly 15 years ago, God has brought me to where I am today; a missionary evangelist, preaching the Gospel on the sidewalks of America, currently serving on the spiritual battlefield of Sacramento. I have given up everything in this life for the cause of the Gospel of Salvation; my family considers me to be a “religious fanatic” and have separated themselves from me. Few people desire my company, but oh what friend I have in Jesus Christ!
“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let himdeny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will savehis life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.”
Matthew 16:24-25
And so I go; preaching the Gospel to the lost at fairs, festivals, markets,parades, runs, rallies, races, schools/colleges…and anywhere else that people are gathered. And one day soon, I want to hear these words: “Well done.”
