Homeless Services

Thank you for your interest in serving those experiencing homelessness in Sacramento

It’s heartbreaking to see someone living in a cardboard box in an alley as a temporary home. Homeless people are often avoided, despised and inhumanly treated by business owners. They are often beaten, bullied and robbed.
But homeless people are dear to the heart of God. Most people today are selfish, have a good place to live and only think only of themselves. As Christians, we must be different from the unsaved world, reflecting the Lord in our daily lives. Jesus always thought about helping the OTHER, The Bible teaches us in Philippians 2:4-5 .

“Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.”

We must constantly seek opportunities to do what is necessary to help those in need. A characteristic feature of a born-again Christian is sincere concern for others. The Word of God says:

“Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble” (Psalm 41:1).

As a Christian organization, we started a ministry for the homeless in November, 2016. The Lord called us to be “good Samaritans” who are ready to help our neighbors.
God blesses us with everything necessary to feed up to 200 people every Saturday near downtown Sacramento. In addition, we distribute clothes, shoes and toiletries. Before distributing, we preach the Gospel and pray for the needs and health of those who wish. 10-15 volunteers participate in this service each time.
As an organization, we began to draw up documents for cooperation with the Food Bank. This will greatly expand our potential and opportunities in helping those in need.
Our service began with our city and has already spread into two of the states in Mexico, Baja California and Sonora. Every time we go on a missionary trip to this country, we visit the city’s dump sites where the homeless live and feed. Sometimes we meet families who have settled in with small children in a landfill and have their own cardboard house to sleep in overnight.

Last year, we purchased a house in North Highlands and are currently working on the reconstruction of this building for the needs of the mission. But since the paperwork concerning the design of this building is being delayed, we decided to rent a small building on Watt Avenue. We use the kitchen in this building to facilitate the preparation of fresh food for the homeless. Also on the territory of the building, we have placed a trailer for clothes and non-perishable products.

For the reconstruction of our mission center in North Highlands, we need financial help. If your heart is open to God’s work, we ask you to share your contribution to this service.
